Thinking Out of the Box (Creative Thinking)

In a small Italian town, hundreds of years ago, a small business owner owed a large sum of money to a loan-shark. The loan-shark was a very old, unattractive looking guy that just so happened to fancy the business owner’s daughter.

He decided to offer the businessman a deal that would completely wipe out the debt he owed him. However, the catch was that we would only wipe out the debt if he could marry the businessman’s daughter.

Needless to say, this proposal was met with a look of disgust.

The loan-shark said that he would place two pebbles into a bag, one white and one black.

The daughter would then have to reach into the bag and pick out a pebble. If it was black, the debt would be wiped, but the loan-shark would then marry her. If it was white, the debt would also be wiped, but the daughter wouldn’t have to marry the loan-shark.

Standing on a pebble-strewn path in the businessman’s garden, the loan-shark bent over and picked up two pebbles.

Whilst he was picking them up, the daughter noticed that he’d picked up two black pebbles and placed them both into the bag.

He then asked the daughter to reach into the bag and pick one.

The daughter naturally had three choices as to what she could have done:

  1. Refuse to pick a pebble from the bag.
  2. Take both pebbles out of the bag and expose the loan-shark for cheating.
  3. Pick a pebble from the bag fully well knowing it was black and sacrifice herself for her father’s freedom.

She drew out a pebble from the bag, and before looking at it ‘accidentally’ dropped it into the midst of the other pebbles. She said to the loan-shark;

“Oh, how clumsy of me. Never mind, if you look into the bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I picked.”

The pebble left in the bag is obviously black, and seeing as the loan-shark didn’t want to be exposed, he had to play along as if the pebble the daughter dropped was white, and clear her father’s debt.

Moral of the story:

It’s always possible to overcome a tough situation throughout of the box thinking, and not give in to the only options you think you have to pick from.

Hard Work Vs Smart Work

Hard Work Vs Smart Work

Hard Work + Intengligence = Success

Belief-The Elephant Rope

A gentleman was walking through an elephant camp, and he spotted that the elephants weren’t being kept in cages or held by the use of chains.

All that was holding them back from escaping the camp, was a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs.

As the man gazed upon the elephants, he was completely confused as to why the elephants didn’t just use their strength to break the rope and escape the camp. They could easily have done so, but instead, they didn’t try to at all.
Curious and wanting to know the answer, he asked a trainer nearby why the elephants were just standing there and never tried to escape.

The trainer replied;

“when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”

The only reason that the elephants weren’t breaking free and escaping from the camp was that over time they adopted the belief that it just wasn’t possible.

Moral of the story:

No matter how much the world tries to hold you back, always continue with the belief that what you want to achieve is possible. Believing you can become successful is the most important step in actually achieving it.

Difference Between Right And Wrong.......Ratnesh Yadav

Difference Between Right And Wrong

Once many pupil from many parts of Japan came to attend seclusion weeks of meditation. During one of these gatherings One of them was caught stealing. Whole matter was reported to Bankei. All pupil requested Bankei to expel that person from gatherings but Bankei ignored the case.
Again that person was caught in similar act of stealing and again people demanded Bankei to detain that person from gatherings but Bankei refused.  Pupil who asked for dismissal of thief got angry and drew up a petition and stated that If the person who is stealing is not dismissed then all other people will leave the gathering.
This petition reached to Bankei. After reading petition he asked everyone to gather before him and said, “You are Wise Brothers. You know what’s right what’s wrong. You may go somewhere else to study if you wish but this brother doesn’t even know the difference between right and wrong. If i will not teach him then who will? I am going to keep him here even if you all leave.”
Tears came out of the person who had stolen and all desire to steal had vanished from his mind.

Moral:
If someone commits crime then sometimes we need to look deeper and we might just see that that person simply need to be shown right path. We also need to take time to teach them right and wrong.

Ratnesh Yadav

The Power Of Belief ......by Ratnesh Yadav

Ratnesh Yadav

As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.

He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. “Well,” trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”

The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.
Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before?

     Failure is part of learning; we should never give up the struggle in life.

To complete any task Use ALL your strength.....Ratnesh Yadav

  To complete any task Use ALL your strength.....Ratnesh Yadav

A young boy and his father were walking along a forest path. At some point, they came across a large tree branch on the ground in front of them.
The boy asked his father, “If I try, do you think I could move that branch?” His father replied, “I am sure you can, if you use all your strength.”
The boy tried his best to lift or push the branch, but he was not strong enough and he couldn’t move it.
He said, with disappointment, “You were wrong, dad. I can’t move it.”
“Try again,” replied his father.
Again, the boy tried hard to push the branch. He struggled but it did not move.
“Dad, I cannot do it,” said the boy.
Finally his father said, “Son, I advised you to use all your strength. You didn’t.
You didn’t ask for my help.”
~~~
Some reflections on this story…
We haven’t used all our strength until we have recognized, appreciated and galvanized the strength and support of those who love and surround us, and those who care about our purpose.
Our real strength lies not in independence, but in interdependence.
No individual person has all the strengths, all the resources and all the stamina required for the complete blossoming of their vision.
That requires the inspired collaboration of many like-hearted beings.
To ask for help and support when we need it is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of wisdom.
It is a call for the greater strength that lives in our togetherness.
When we ask for help and we are refused, it just means we have to ask at another time, or ask in another way, or ask another person.
   It helps to remember SWSWSWSW.
Some will, Some won’t, So what, Someone’s waiting!
When by yourself
You cannot manage
To complete any task
Use ALL your strength
Turn around and ASK!
3 Keys of Success सफलता के तीन नियम...by RATNESH YADAV
3 Keys of Success
 सफलता के तीन नियम
By Ratnesh Yadav
यह अक्सर देखा
     गया है की लोग पूछते रहते है की सफल कैसे हुआ जाये (How to become Successful)? या कौन-से तरीके है जिनको अपना कर हम सफल (Successful) हो सकते है? और कुछ सफल लोग बताते रहते है की वो कैसे सफल (Successful) हुए ।
यह कहने को तो अच्छा है लेकिन जरा ध्यान से देखे तो हम सब अपनी खुद की पहचान और प्रॉब्लम सोल्विंग दक्षता को खत्म कर रहे है ऐसा करके हम पूरी तरह से कुछ नियमों या तरीकों पर निर्भर हो जाते है ।
दरअसल हमारी सब की जिंदगी में सफलता के सारे नियम, तरीके छुपे हुए होते है पर दिक्कत तो यह है की हम सब लोग इतनी व्यस्तता वाली जिंदगी जी रहे होते है की उन पर हमारा ध्यान कभी नहीं जाता है ।
यकीन नहीं होता – चलो बात करते है किसी भी एग्जाम में अच्छे मार्क्स  कैसे लाये जाये,
मेहनत कर के? नहीं…
आपको पढ़ने के लिए मेहनत नहीं करनी आपको को तो अपनी समय बचत करने की आदतों पर जोर देना है जिससे आप थोड़ा समय ज्यादा निकाल लो पढ़ने के लिए, आपको खूब पढ़ने की बजाय रोजाना पढ़ने की आदत डालने की मेहनत करनी है  और ध्यान से पढ़ने की बजाय मजा लेकर पढ़ाई करनी है फिर देखते है कैसे अच्छे मार्क्स नहीं आते है । 🙂
इसी तरह जिंदगी के सभी पहलुओं पर ध्यान देंगे तो पाएंगे की अरे ये तो कितना आसान है यह तो मैं कर सकता हूँ, यह तो मैंने सोचा ही नहीं था, या फिर अरे मैं भी कितना पागल हूँ आइडिया मेरे पास था और मैं दुनिया से जानने की कोशिश में लगा रहा… आदि… आदि ।
यहाँ मैं कुछ नियम नहीं बताने वाला…
ये तो कुछ ऐसे कदम है जो आप करेंगे और पाएंगे की वाह… सच में जिंदगी जीना आसान है, सफल होना आसान है क्योंकि हम सब सफल होने के लिए प्रयासरत है और इसके लिए हर संभव कोशिश हम करते है ।
यदि बहुत प्रयासों के बाद भी सफल नहीं होते है तो अक्सर हिम्मत हार बैठते है और अपना विचार बदल लेते है, कुछ हालातों को जिम्मेदार मान लेते है और कुछ किस्मत को कुछ स्वंय को दोष देते रहते है पर इन सबके अलावा भी एक रास्ता है,
अगर थोड़ा सा बदलाव भी हम अपने सोचने के तरीके में कर लेते है तो उसके परिणाम सकारात्मक (Positive) ही आते है । चाहे कैसी भी परिस्थिति जिंदगी में क्यों न हो ये तीन कदम जरूर अपनाए ।
3 Keys to Success in Life
रुको (Stop)
लगातार कोशिश करने के बावजूद भी सफलता न मिलना मतलब यह समय हमारी कोशिश को रोक देने का है जी हाँ – थोड़ा ब्रेक ले अपने रूटीन से,
बाहर प्राकृतिक जगहों पर घूमने जाये, परिवार के साथ ज्यादा वक्त बिताये, अपने साथ वक्त बिताये, यह ठहराव आपको तरोताजा कर देगा और नयी उम्मीद देगा, ध्यान रहे यह ठहराव पूरी तरह से रुकने के लिए नहीं बल्कि नए सिरे से सोचने के लिए है ।
देखो (See)
जब हम थोड़ा रुकते है तो हमें अपनी जिंदगी की उन तमाम आदतों और कार्यों के बारे में सोचने का वक्त मिलता है और हमें देखना है की कौन-से तरीके काम नहीं कर रहे है, हमारी कौन-सी आदतें (Habits) है जो हमें रोक रही है,
और हमें कौन मदद कर सकता है क्या हम सही दिशा में जा रहे है या नहीं, हमारी अब तक की असफलता के कारण क्या है आदि यह आकलन हमें पूरी स्पष्टता दे देता है ।
बदलाव (Change)
आकलन के बाद अब वक्त आ गया है की उसके अनुसार नयी आदतें (Habits), नए तरीके और समय के अनुसार अपने आपको अपडेट किया जाये और कुछ नया सिखा जाये,
बदलाव का कदम थोड़ा तकलीफ भरा जरूर है लेकिन रुको और देखो वाली प्रकिया के बाद यह कदम आपकी असफलता (Failure) को सफलता (Success) में बदल देगा।
असल ज़िन्दगी तब जी जाती है जब छोटे-छोटे बदलाव होते हैं – लियो टॉलस्टॉय
उपरोक्त तीन कदम हम सब की जिंदगी से जुड़े हुए है और हम अपनी बड़ी से बड़ी समस्या या चुनौती को पार पा सकते है,
इसलिए कहा गया है की ज्ञान अर्जित करने से नहीं बढ़ता, ज्ञान तो उपयोग करने से बढ़ता है, और ये ज्ञान प्रकृति का है की कोई भी समस्या का समाधान आसान है यदि आप निश्चिंत होकर सोचे और ये तीन कदमों को अपनी जिंदगी का हिस्सा बना ले ।
इसलिए रुको… क्योंकि रुकने से तुम  जुड़ जाओगे अपने साथ, सोचो… क्योंकि सोचने से जिंदगी का असली ज्ञान तुम्हें गाइड करेगा और बदलो… क्योंकि बदलाव प्रकृति का नियम है और बदलने से ही तुम सफलता (Success) को  प्राप्त करोगे ।
LIFE CHANGING STORY OF THOMAS EDISION ........RATNESH YADAV
One day Thomas Edison came home and gave a paper to his mother. He told her, “My teacher gave this paper to me and told me to only give it to my mother.” His mother’s eyes were tearful as she read the letter out loud to her child, “Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself.”
Many years after Edison’s mother had died, Edison had become one of the greatest inventors of the century. One day he was going through the old closet and he found a folded letter which was given to him by his teacher for his mother. He opened it. The message written on th
e letter was, “Your son is mentally ill. We can not let him attend our school anymore. He is expelled.”
Edison became emotional reading it and then he wrote in his diary, “Thomas Alva Edison was a mentally ill child whose mother turned him into the genius of the century.”
Moral: A Mother’s love and upbringing can help change the destiny of a child.
